Frankenstein Hallmark Ornament Empty Frankenstein Hallmark Ornament

Post by Tygercat Sun Jul 13, 2014 9:58 am

We collect Hallmark Christmas ornaments, and they just released the new 2014 line (and, yes, I feel stupid buying Christmas stuff in the middle of July, but this is how they do it). For this year, they have a very nice version of the Frankenstein monster, licensed from Universal. I am hoping that they will turn this into a series, would love to see a similar high quality Dracula and Mummy. Among the other ornaments this year are Godzilla (tie-in to the recent movie, so you may or may not like it), and a Batman 1966 ornament that seems to have been modeled on the iconic photo of Adam West that once graced the cover of Life magazine.

How cool! Sorry for the late response. This forum is not getting any action, much like the Yahoo Groups, so I was not watching very closely. I'm trying to determine if I should leave it open or not...  Crying or Very sad  I preferred this type of forum to the Facebook groups, but apparently that is not the consensus of Sven fans.

No worries. Smile I prefer this sort of forum myself, I don't even have a Facebook account, and frankly, would prefer not to. I like a forum where you can compose a response in full sentences. I understand that many people these days are using mobiles instead of sitting down at a desktop, and things like Facebook and especially Twitter are more convenient for them. I greatly enjoy the conversation, sometime erudite, that goes on in the comments on Sven's blog. The Facebook comments, while usually enthusiastic, are usually one-liners, and sometimes (all too often), rude  Evil or Very Mad

I agree Tygercat. I enjoy the Svengoolie blog comments, but they are usually fairly singular in topic - though they are at least ON topic!
