Unidentified Flying Objects, minus SvenSurround
I caught the movie Unidentified Flying Objects: The True Story of Flying Saucers (1956) on TCM recently. The last time I saw it was on Sven, FULL of SvenSurround, which it richly deserved.
Watching this straight, well, with a few beers, I was amazed how much it was like an Ed Wood flick. The first twenty minutes or so was stock military footage, and, the rest wasn't much better/worse. A real chore to sit thru, but, interesting/boring look at the docudrama circa 1956.
High point was Harry Morgan's voice as a fighter pilot being approached by UFOs. Yes, just his voice, or, as Sven pointed out, Col. Potter's voice.
